A beautiful and rare example of Victorian Bristol glass from the 19th century. This vase features a central scene of a woman surrounded by flowers, framed by delicate floral motifs that flow around the artwork. The decoration combines hand painting and transfer print, brought to life with raised enamel detailing also done by hand, giving the surface texture and depth.
The glass itself fades from a deep fern green at the top to a soft, lighter tone at the base, creating a lovely gradient effect that catches the light beautifully.
It’s in remarkably fine condition for its age, showing only minimal signs of time. Pieces like this are becoming increasingly hard to find, a genuine example of Victorian artistry and craftsmanship, and a vase that would sit proudly in any antique or glass collection.
