A beautiful and unusual English ewer, of uncertain exact age but Victorian or slightly later, perhaps Edwardian, most likely between 1900-1920. The vessel features a gracefully rounded glass body encased in ribbed brass, rising to a slender neck with a flared, scalloped rim. An ornate handle and hinged lid, suggesting it was designed for both use and display. Resting on three small brass feet, it presents a refined contrast between the clear glass and the warm, aged patina of brass. Distinctive and well balanced, this piece reflects the fine craftsmanship and aesthetics of the era.
