This earthenware vase was produced by Crown Devon, the well known trade name of Fielding & Co., based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The base bears the printed Crown Devon mark with a crown emblem, along with the pattern name “Perth” and the British Registered Design Number 622805, which dates the design registration to around 1913-1914.

In addition to the printed mark, the vase carries impressed numbers “129” and “10 in”, identifying the mould and size of the piece, used as internal factory codes for quality or batch tracking. There is also a hand written code “0986/129-10”, which would have been applied by the decorator to denote the shape and pattern variation used in production.

Taken together, these markings indicate that the vase belongs to Crown Devon’s early 20th-century output, produced around 1913-1914. The “Perth” pattern itself reflects the refined Edwardian to Art Deco transition style.

This piece is a fine example of the company’s decorative ware, combining high-quality earthenware with elegant design and detailed factory documentation, which together tell the story of a well managed pottery at the height of England’s ceramic artistry.

Height : 10”
