An antique H. J. Harley Jones vase, made in Stoke-on-Trent, England, between 1920-1930. Crafted from earthenware, it features a rich cobalt blue ground with a beautifully detailed pastoral scene.
The vase has the distinctive rococo style form characteristic of Harley Jones pieces, with ornate scroll handles and a flared rim and base shaded in soft blends of green, amber, and rose glazes. The base is marked with the H. J. Harley-Jones England stamp and the traditional lion and crown crest.
Condition
It remains in great overall condition, with one small repaired crack that is barely noticeable (indicated in the provided photographs). This is a fine example of early twentieth-century Staffordshire craftsmanship.
