An elegant Rockingham style English art pottery vase, dating from 1930-1950. The vase features a classic elongated baluster form with twin handles and a flared, ruffled rim, characteristic of mid-20th century decorative ceramics inspired by the historic Rockingham works of Yorkshire.
The body is finished in a rich olive-green glaze with relief molded panels showcasing floral transfer prints, delicately enhanced with hand-painted details. The fine crackle glaze (crazing) adds depth and vintage character.
The underside bears the distinctive Rockingham England backstamp in red, depicting the heraldic griffin motif, a mark associated with post-Edwardian to mid-century Rockingham revival pottery.
